Europcar Complaint - Europcar was a Nightmare!
We visited Mexico in September. We decided to rent a car from Europcar. It was the worst rental car experience I have ever had. Their cars were in faulty running condition and customer service nonexistent. We picked up our first, yes I said first, car on September 11. By September 15 we were on our fourth car! I had reserved a Four-Door, Automatic, Standard Car. Two of the cars we received were Manual not Automatic. Each time I called them because the current car did not run, it took an entire day to get another car to me. With our second car, we had a flat and called to get help. I was told that they would send help and get another car ready for me to pick up. After several calls and 4 hours at night in the rain, help arrived. At Midnight, 6 hours after first conversation, we arrived to pick up a new car and there is absolutely no gas in it so instead they gave me a third car which they knew had a faulty transmission. They knew for 6 hours that I was picking up the car. I tried reaching customer service to complain but the number I reached could not transfer me and the number they gave me to call was a nonworking number. No refund, no discount, no apology.
