Wal-Mart Compliment - New Battery, No Receipt, No Problem
MESA, ARIZONA -- The battery in my car died over the weekend. I purchased the battery at Walmart in 2009 and it has a 3 year warranty on it. I knew that Walmart would replace it for free since it's still under warranty. The only problem is, I couldn't find my original receipt.
My boyfriend and I returned the battery to Walmart anyway, with hopes that the receipt wasn't needed and that all my info was in their system. The employees didn't even ask me for the receipt. They checked the battery to make sure it was really dead. Then they went and got me a new battery, scanned the old battery, scanned the new battery, and swiped my driver's license. I didn't have to pay anything and the whole process took 5 minutes. The employees were also really friendly. Thank you Walmart for making this process quick and easy.
