Honda Complaint - Car comes away from Service visits with more problems than when car went in - Honda Dealer Service Centers

Honda Dealer Service Centers - Complaint
Review by tamatos00145 on 2011-11-11
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA -- I have driven Hondas for a long time. I purchased my Hondas in California, by have also lived on the East Coast. I never had a problem getting good and reliable service on either the East or West Coast. However a number of years ago I moved to Minneapolis and have found EVERY TIME I have taken my Honda into the dealer for service it comes out with something broken, such as window off the track, door lock broken, crack on inside door panel. These, of course, cost hundreds of dollars to repair. It happened twice at Richfield Bloomington Honda and twice at Walser Honda.

I understand that cars do not las forever, but find it difficult to believe that cars that run so well have so many problems with their locks and windows and ONLY after an oil change or standard maintainemce visit.

I have a '99 Accord and I use a local shop (where the mechanic that works on my car also happens to have an Accord which is a couple of years older than mine) and they've always done a good job with maintenance and the occassional repair. I avoid the dealer since they seem to have 'technicians' and a high turnover rate. Maybe see if you can't find a good local, independent shop to do your car work.
