MoHawk Complaint - MoHawk Carpet - Three rooms, hall and closets - Problem with carpet.

Three rooms, hall and closets - Problem with carpet. - Complaint
Review by granmom0585 on 2011-11-11
VIRGINIA -- We had our MoHawk installed in Sept. 2010. We have contacted Lowes(where the carpet was purchased)in Pocomoke, Md., about our carpet shedding and balling up. They sent a representative by and took samples and sent them to MoHawk. The reply was it wasn't anything wrong with the carpet. They said; they tested it and it was normal. Like the other complaint on here-our carpet looked like it it years old. When it is vacuumed it still doesn't look it it is vacuumed. This is over most of our house. My vacuum bags has to be replaced every other time I vacuum. Also the beater head has to be taken apart and cleaned - as the threads from the carpet get all wound around it.
We are so disappointed with this carpet and there seems like there isn't anything we can have done about it. Just got to live with it I suppose. There is one thing - I would not recommend MoHawk to anyone and they will know my reason also.

If nothing else, you might let both Mohawk and Lowe's know you've expressed your dissatisfaction on a public consumer site. Taking the time to tell other consumers about your experience is very helpful and thank you!

I'm sorry this is happening to you, and how they will not take what you are saying and proving about the carpet seriously.

As Alain, mentions, contact Mohawk. Here is the contact information for them. They need to know about the problem you are having with their carpet. They are a reputable company, and will stand behind their products.

Well I tried the link to Mohawk it didn't work for customer complaints. Really did I think it would?? But I don't know if you got your carpets replaced but sounds just like mind of course like everyone says the only thing you get back from Mohawk are letters stating there not going to anything about the carpet of course my is normal too ha its just blooming which is a normal thing for my carpet I have been fighting them for a year and a half to have nothing done My carpet within a few weeks look wore out also. I had the same problem thinking it was my vacuum went out a bought a filter Queen well guess what it wasn't the vacuum. It"s the cheap yarn they use on the carpet. they put a warranty that covers hardly nothing put 15 20 or 25 years on it. as the person above said they need to know the problems with their carpet well that would be nice.
They really don't care it they did they would stand behind it for their name sake.

I experienced the same thing - completely destroyed old vacuum and it's still shedding after a year. Seems to be poor quality product.
