Avis Rent A Car Complaint - Never Again! I Would Walk Across Country Before Renting From Avis Again!!! - Car Rental
Car Rental - Complaint
TENNESSEE -- Rude, unprofessional crooked people that overcharge you with no recourse. Marilyn at the Avis Counter in Millington, TN tried her best to get $75.00 extra from me in any way possible. She tried to say the tank wasn't full, when I had just come from the sation across the street and filled it until the pump continually shut off and woudn't let me pump another penny! She tried to argue with me and say it wasn't full. When I invited her to take it back across the street and I would ride with her to show her, she finally relented. Next she said I had to take the car to the car wash and detail clean the inside! or she would "have to" charge me $75.00 extra. When I talked to Avis Customer Service they told me that was not their policy and that they paid people to detail the cars after the rentals. Marilyn told me that meant the she would have to pay someone to do it, so she "had to" charge me $75.00 extra! Didn't want to argue with this unprofessional, crooked, hostile person who practically called a liar to my face when I told her I had spoken to customer service so I left. Long story short, it took a long time and the help of the BBB to get my money back. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!! WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!!!!

Even though Avis has been informed and you did eventually get your money back, you can also file an official complaint at http://www.tn.gov/consumer/index.shtml
