Best Buy Compliment - Entered Annoyed, Left Happy
KINGSTON, NEW YORK -- I went to the Best Buy in the Hudson Valley Mall today. I am a lifelong Rush fan and was excited (understatement) that their Time Machine Tour DVD was out.
I bought what I thought was the DVD, and I got it home and my XBox 360 wouldn't play it. I then realized it was a BluRay. So I went back to Best Buy to return it. On the way there I was expecting to be given a hard time since it was opened.
I went to the Customer Service desk, and there was a young lady there named Kimberly. I explained the situation to her, and she said she remembered me from earlier and that it would be no problem to return the BluRay. She even looked in their computer database and it showed that they indeed had the DVD. She even went and found it for me before she did the refund. She was very nice and pleasant to talk to.
I thought this was one of the best examples I have seen of excellent customer service I've seen and I just wanted to share my story.
