In November of 2009 we purchased a 52" Sony Bravia KDL Motionflow and expected it to work as well as our Vizio. However, such was not the case and the TV finally died with lines running vertically across the screen but no picture. Sony has picked up the TV and it has been missing from my living room since October 25, 2011. I have discovered that this TV had a recall on it in 2008 and another in 2009 none of which we ever knew about as Sony does not let anyone know. The only good thing is that we purchased the extended warranty, which they are now telling me is aftermarket so they will have to fix it because if it doesn't get fixed by Sony I will get in touch with the attorney doing the class action against them.

Heavens, don't go into threating class action lawsuits and contacting an attorney when writing a letter such as this. A basic attorney would begin by asking for a retainer which would cost more than what the merchandise is worth.

That doesn't mean you don't have a claim that should be handled professionally and with respect. They key is understanding who the warranty provider is. They are the ones you need to contact and they should assist you with getting the television taken care of.

For what it's worth, I absolutely love my Sony products.
