Kroger Complaint - All Areas Going Downhill
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Kroger. Used to like them but not any more. First lets start off with the bread. A few years back they had good bread. About a year ago the taste changed. Now the bread is horrible. Its got some weird chemical taste to it. Either that or it falls apart on you. So someone, somewhere along the line obviously changed their ingredients to something cheaper which is not that hard to figure out. The meat is filled with die, which makes you think its fresh, yet when you get home, the next day its already turning. Their pudding used to be good as well, up until about a year ago, then the taste drastically changed. I'm not sure what's up with them, but something very different is going on with all their foods. I hope I'm not the only one that's noticing this. Their Kroger bottles now have a very flimsy plastic which breaks easy if you drop the water even one time. A whole will be in it somewhere and you'll lose your water. I confirmed this by calling customer service. My question was, did the company change the plastic on your Kroger water bottles to something cheaper? Well after about 1/2 hour on hold, then another 10 minutes getting transferred twice to two different people, finally someone could answer my question. Which was yes.
The apple juice doesn't even taste like apple juice. This was the one for $1.99. Do yourself a favor and dish out an extra 40 cents for namebrand. Its much better. Oh and it actually tastes like juice. And of course we have price gauging. Why have a new low price sticker and then a week later raise to a new low price which is higher than the one you just put out? I mean really. Every week I go by and it says new low price $1.48 Or something on that line, then the next week it says new low price $1.69. ? Do they think the shopping public are this dumb? We can see. If you put a new low price up, you need to keep it for more than one week. Plus the fact that they are charging almost the same price for their store products now as they are the name brand products. Come on. Its store brand. Boy, they must think their stuff is really that good. Sorry but its not. I've already stopped buying their water, and will never buy it again, just due to the fact I don't think it should have taking 45 minutes on customer service to answer one simple question. Their meats are out as well. Soon I will stop shopping their almost completely. I will only go on days they sell name brand products like the Del Monte vegetables on the mega ten events. Other than that I'm pretty much done with them. Be sure to check your expiration dates too. Their employees aren't too bright. I witnessed one of them pick up a steak that someone left near the bread and go put it back in the steak section. Who knows how long it was left there, I took a look at it and looked kind of deep brown, probably no good, or on the verge of being no good. So I did what any reasonable person would do. I threw it down aisle 5 like a frisbee. Oh yeah. The baggers don't know how to put things in bags either. Half your groceries will be in the cart without a bag. So make sure you grab a few extra. Bye bye Kroger.
