Bank of America Complaint - BOA has not consistently mailed me a monthly mortgage statement
My mortgage is with BOA (former Countrywide Customer) and I have repeatedly complained that I do not consistently receive my monthly mortgage statements. I may get one every 3-4 months but not every month. Anyhow, I have an automatic transfer set up from my BOA checking to the mortgage each month so it's usually not an issue. However, in November 2011, they raised my mortgage payment by $4.92. But because I did not receive a statement, I was not aware and did not increase the automatic transfer amount, thus the mortgage payment was short by $4.92. Rather than applying the amount they automatically transferred between my 2 BOA accounts as a partial payment and notifying me of the $4.92 shortage, they just mailed me a bank check for the full amount they deducted from my checking and attempted to tack on an $85 late fee on my mortgage account. I very loudly informed the poor girl on the phone that I'm 3+ years AHEAD on my mortgage payments (I make a double payments once a year) and I will move all of my accounts to another bank if they don't waive the $85 fee and credit my mortgage payment immediately. They did but did not give me a satisfactory explanation as to why I am not receiving my monthly statements.
