Real Perfumes Complaint - Canceled Original Order to Increace Prices

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- I found this company through an online search when I was looking for a perfume that I could no longer find in stores. Real Perfumes came up with a really good price so I placed an order for 2 bottles. A couple of days later I got an email telling me that they tried to reach me by phone and had canceled my order. It also said to place my order online. Puzzled since I had already placed my order online, I sent a reply asking them to explain why my order had been canceled and why they wanted me to place my order online again. I waited a while for a reply then went to the website to see if maybe the perfume was out of stock or unavailable when I notice they had increased the price! They had canceled my order so they could change the price then instructed me to reorder at the new higher pricing! Terrible business ethics and even worse customer service! When I contacted them again they were extremely rude and the only explanation they would offer was they could not reach me by phone. Don't waste your time. There are lots of other businesses out there that APPRECIATE their customers, have MUCH BETTER business ethics and have just as good if not better prices. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Since Real Perfumes seems to be based in New York (they at least have a suite as an address in NYC), you may want to file a complaint at: http://www.dos.ny.gov/consumerprotection
