Home Depot Complaint - Installation Frustration
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY -- Purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot (the sales woman was very pleasant and informative)Set up delivery and installation. When the dishwasher was delivered the driver indicated that we had the wrong size fitting under the sink for the new dishwasher, he would leave the new dishwasher and come back when we had the right size fitting put on. Gave us a number to call and said because we kept the dishwasher he could come back out in a couple days to install, not a problem. If we didn't keep the dishwasher and it had to be redelivered it could take a couple weeks. (we figured not a problem, it wasn't his fault we had the wrong size fitting). The next day we had a plumber come and change the fitting. When we called to the number he gave us they said that they couldn't come for 10days!!! Explained what the driver had said to us, didn't matter still 10days!! So I called Home Depot, they explained that they have nothing to do with the installation, its a separate company....HELLO, if you have a subcontractor that does work for you, you are responsible for there service. It is a poor reflection on you if the customer is not satisfied!!! Went to Home Depot and got our money back for the installation, upon explaining to the special order returns department they even expressed there frustration with
the installation company!!! What the heck, I will never have anything installed by Home Depot again. I hired a private installation guy, who with todays economy was happy for the work.....Get a grip Home Depot!!!
