ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- I will say to start with, that I do LOVE listening to Sirius Radio. The problem is that their customer service is non existent and they scam people by keeping their credit card info on file, chargning them randomly and then not answering the damn phone when you call. I was on hold for 45 minutes after I woke up this morning and found they had billed my bank card 300.00 dollars for a renewal. I know I did NOT authorize that because I NEVER authorize anyone to dirctly bill my card for any kind of monthly fees except my gym. I distinctly remember thinking I might try it for 2 years an go from there, so I KNOW I never gave them permission. They didn't send me a notice, either. Thank goodness I caught it before I had bounced checks. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but, surprise, no on available. THEY STINK.

"Automatic Renewal' is being abuse by an increasing number of companies. File an official complaint with http://consumer.ga.gov and http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/index.shtml
It won't solve your immediate problem, but as the complaints mount up, eventually someone may take action to stop companies from this practice.

It's amazing how many companies maintain their customers enjoy the automatic renewal feature. I don't think so. The fact is it's a bunch of foolishness. I have two yearly subscriptions. I receive notification in advance when the expiration date is approaching. It's up to me to decide if I want to continue or not. If they don't hear from me it's cancelled. One is my Virgin Mobile and the other is my MSN account. You best read the fine print, usually requiring a magnifying glass.
