Whirlpool - Review
The RF263LXTQ3 is a cheesy piece of crap - Complaint
TEXAS -- Just had one delivered to replace an 11 yr old one that quit working. The reason I stayed with Whirlpool as my last one cooked beautifully and it was a perfect fit in my kitchen (just barely fit between cupboards). This newer version which is almost identical to the old one is nothing short of crap. The coils on the cooktop rattle and the pans do not sit on them properly. And it is NOT my pans....like some one commented on another persons complaint about the coils. The oven is so far off in heat it is burning everything. I will need to buy 2-3 oven thermometers so I can tell what the temp is since what I set it on is not the cooking temperature. This was suppose to be almost identical to my old one. The bottom drawer is only half the size of the old one. When you look in the window...there is no lining or whatever it is called like on the old one....just empty space and a thin sheet of aluminum. This is NOT worth the price, in fact if you pay more than $100 you are being ripped off. Stay as far away from this miserable model or even Whirlpool as possible. They have really declined thru the years. Pathetic!!!!
Even the manual is written on the thinest paper, I am going to have to make a Xerox copy of it since I know the paper it is printed on won't last a year or more. The Cut Backs made by this company are far too many to list.!!! PATHETIC!!! That seems to be the only word to describe this sorry excuse for a free-standing stove.
