Brookstone Complaint - Incomplete/Damaged Products - AR Drone

AR Drone - Complaint
Review by fiona39 on 2011-12-06
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- I purchased an AR Drone from Brookstone. When I opened the box to make sure the battery was charged prior to wrapping it for Christmas I notices that the unit is damaged (scratches to the body and rotors and gouges out of the foam) and that the battery, charger and plugs are missing.

I called Brookstone to ask for assistance and their customer service department advised that once a customer leaves the store with a product their duty to that customer ends. They will not help in any way and suggested I contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer has confirmed that it is Brookstone's responsibility for the product.

It leaves me with nobody to help and a useless $300 Christmas present.

Similar issue in Tampa, Both Brookstone and Parrot are little help. I will never shope with Brookstone again and I will make sure I tell my friends not to. Are there laws to prevent selling products that do not work? We have to check into that.
