Otterbox Compliment - Customer service is alive and well!
Back in August, when I was in the market for a new case for my iPhone, I was recommended an Otterbox by both the Apple employee I talked to in the store and the employee in the Best Buy mobile store I visited after (the Apple store didn't have Otterboxes.) I picked the Commuter Series case, which is a soft silicone case under a rigid plastic case. It was $42 including taxes.
Fast forward to early November, when I noticed a crack forming along the top corner of the hard outer case! What the heck? I am not that rough on my phone, and this case is supposed to be protecting my phone, and should it be cracking after less than three months? A week or so later, the bottom corner of the hard case completely cracked through. Now I was ticked.
So, I decide to send an email to Otterbox and tell them my tale. Within a day, I got an email from a person at Otterbox saying, I will be happy to take care of you. He asked me to send pictures of the damage and to give him more info (like my address, the serial number in the case, etc, etc.) I did as he requested and today, I received a brand new case via Fedex! It was very refreshing and I'm now an official fan of Otterbox.
