Sears Complaint - No followup with associate after buying an appliance
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE -- I purchased an oven with stove top on November 17,2011:
$439.99- Gas oven
$104.99- Two year service/warranty
$10.00- Removal of existing oven and stove top
$69.99- Come to house and measure kitchen and estimate installation
$14.98- Gas connector
Installer came to the house on December 1, 2011 and told me that they would get back to me for installation. After that I did not hear a word from them. I went to the store to see what was going on 3 times and talked to three different associates and was told that they would put a rush on the installation and I would get a call within 3 hours. Called back at 4 P.M. not hearing a word from them. They told me on the phone that they would get back to me in 5 minutes which turned into 7 hours. I went back to the store at 11 A.M. this morning December 9, 2011 to speak to a manager who had died two months ago. I finally received a call at 12:30 P.M. that I would receive a call from the installer within a couple of days. I requested that I would receive it before Christmas and they said it would be done before then. I have been very dissatisfied with the sales associates at that Sears location and will probably not buy a single thing from them again. I would think spending this much money for an appliance I would receive better service than this.
