Sears Complaint - Appliance Installation Service
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA -- We ordered a new dishwasher on 12/1 for delivery 12/3. On 12/2 we got a call from the installation company saying they couldn't do 12/3, and the soonest they could do was 12/7. The install team arrived on 12/7 and removed our old dishwasher. When they unpacked the dishwasher they found pieces that had not been installed inside the tub, and wiring that was hanging lose. When the sound insulation was pulled back the back of the dishwasher was bent and bashed up. When we called Sears they told us that our order had been cancelled. They insisted that we return to the store to order a new dishwasher. After much discussion at the store, my husband finally got to talk to a manager who re-ordered the dishwasher and arranged installation for Saturday 12/10. We were told we would get a phone call the day before to confirm installation. We never got this. At 2pm on 12/10 we had still not heard from them, so we called and were told that their van had broken down. We called customer service again, and they told us there was nothing they could do, and they would call back Monday to reschedule.
This kind of treatment of customers is unforgivable. We will never be purchasing anything from Sears again.
