Verizon Wireless Complaint - Consumer Ripoff
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO -- I purchased my Bionic for $349 on 10/13/11 with insurance. My phone died on 12/08/11. I did not abuse, drop or mishandle my phone. I called Verizon technical support and was told I would received a new phone overnight. I did receive a new phone overnight but it was not new. It was a certified phone that Verizon sell for $149. I called a Verizon manager and he told me I would have to pay full price of $599 for a new phone. I was also told that insurance would not apply for this situation. My other option was do without a phone for 1-2 weeks and if they cannot fix my phone I would get a certified phone anyway. My phone depreciated $100 a month. Verizon did not back up the merchandise they was selling and left me holding $200 less money.
