A Simpler Time Compliment - A Company with Heart

Review by zeldaz on 2011-12-14
MORRISVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- I am attending a very special graduation. A student I taught 20 years ago has kept in touch with me and I will be at his graduation ceremony as he becomes a Lieutenant in the Philadelphia Fire Department. My husband's assistant's husband is a firefighter, and she recommended the Fireman Keepsake Box from A Simpler Time. I ordered it, though was worried about getting it in time. I called the company and left a message with my concerns and the situation. Without any special shipping, I received my order in plenty of time!

I wrote a letter to the company to thank them for the prompt shipping and the beautiful Keepsake Box. I am picky and the box is truly lovely. I never expected a response, yet Jeff King, the president of A Simpler Time wrote back a heart-warming note complimenting me! It is not often a teacher sees the fruit of his or her labor or hears kind words such as Mr. King wrote.

A Simpler Time is a company I highly recommend for their products and their heart.

The truly lovely person is the customer who not only helped a student, but took the time to write us commending us on excellent service. People like her really give us the Christmas spirit!

What a nice story. Thanks for sharing it. There are still business owners who know how to treat their customers. It's good to hear that customer service is alive and well.

This is an awesome compliment. You're right - most teachers do not hear back from their former students, but it is wonderful when you do. Mr. King sounds like the kind of person who would contact one of his former teachers to thank them.

This compliment makes me feel good, and I'm not a firefighter and don't know the first thing about Keepsake Boxes.

Thank you for the nice responses. The ceremony, which was properly called a promotion, not a graduation, was wonderful. My student loved the Keepsake Box. He will keep his new Lieutenant bars in it, along with other valuables. He and I were quite emotional. I could not resist sending a photog to Mr. King, who set back another lovely note. I look forward to my student reaching the rank of Captain. When he does, I'll be going back to A Simpler Time for a gift.
