Factory Authorized Outlet Complaint - False and misleading advertising and ordering process

LA VERNE, CA 91750, CALIFORNIA -- Imagine the electric log set you needed for that special Christmas event you were throwing, and saw it fo $50 less than everyone else, plus the fact that the other stores were out of stock until after Christmas. This company (factory authorized outlet)advertised that they were on back order too BUT if you ordered now, which in my case was Dec the 8th they were going to get them in and ship the item promptly on Dec the 10th. I figured even with the Christmas rush they would get to Pa. on time. Checked my e-mail on the 12th to see if it was shipped ... was not... looked on their web site again, which now stated product was backorded but if you ordered now to reserve yours it would ship promptly on Dec. 20th. now came the calls to customer service and everyone I talked to had a different story. One guy said sorry, they were received in, but not in the system yet, when a couple days later it wasn't shipped I called and was told no they were not in... backordered form their supplier BUT would definitely ship the 20th I asked for a supervisor, and after complaining it would not reach me for Christmas said she would ship 2nd day... GOOD eh? noooo... did not ship the 20th but a new message appeared saying again... if you ordered now it was going to ship promptly on the 27th. Now I was a joke to customer service who basically laughed at me when I told them their false advertising had caused me a lot of unnessary stress if they had of just said- no we don't have them- and won't, like other companies said on their ordering sites instead of each time I called I was assured the product was there and getting ready to ship and then never did, finally I cancled the order.

I hoping that you haven't been charged yet so you won't end up waiting for a refund. You may want to file complaints with both PA and California, http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/consumers.aspx and http://www.dca.ca.gov/consumer/index.shtml as well as http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/index.shtml

While this won't solve your immediate problem, it'll at least alert the agencies about this company (they may all ready know about them) and eventually their arrogant attitude may come back to haunt them.
