CNA Insurance Complaint - They won't let me go

Review by Ajrobold1118 on 2011-12-24
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- I started a pool cleaning business in Jan. of 2011 and purchased liability insurance with CNA. The business failed in June of 2011 and I called CNA to cancel my policy. There were no claims. After over two dozen phone calls and two cancellation letters, they have continued to harass me with bills and late payments due. Everyone I talk to says they will take care of it and then I get another bill.

Hang on to all the paperwork. You may well need it shortly. Especially any paperwork that shows the business no longer existed after June.

Perhaps try reporting them to the insurance commission and/or the attorney general's office. Just out of curiosity, was your business in Chicago or is that where the insurance company is located? If it's the former, I think I know why the business failed.
