DirecTV Inc Complaint - Shoddy Customer Service
We hooked up with Direct TV in 2007 and were satisfied with reception after having problems in our Park with old underground wires with Cox Cable. We knew there was a 2 yr. minimum on their Service and we mentioned we were Canadians and only in Az for 4 months - said that was fine and the time would still be for the 2 yrs from date of INSTALL. We buy and move to another home in same park and they give me a hassle saying that I never had the previous service for 2 yrs - then say we cannot have 2 services just 1. I explain we don't want 2 services - we want a dish put up on our 2nd house with the 1 service - after speaking to 3 different reps they agree to continue on with the Service at the new move-in house. In Feb. of 2011 their receiver malfunctions - which is theirs - so they agree to send a new one-I receive in 3 days-but no service or credit given for
no TV service. Never is there any mention now that BECAUSE THEIR RECEIVER NOT MINE - MIS-FUNCTIONS THAT I AM NOW ON THE HOOK FOR ANOTHER 2 YEARS.... NO WHERE WAS THAT MENTIONED IN THE CALL TO GET ANOTHER RECEIVER. WE THEN SELL IN AUG/2011 - NEW OWNERS NOT INTERESTED SO THE RECEIVER GETS SENT BACK. I THEN GET A BILL
FOR OVER 200.00 BECAUSE I DID NOT FULFILL THE 2 YR. TIME FRAME. I WRITE A LONG LETTER AND SAY WE PROBABLY WONT BE BACK TO AZ. BECAUSE MY HUSBAND IS GETTING A KNEE REPLACEMENT - AND WE ARE NOT PAYING THIS INVOICE - EVEN THO' WE PAID EVERY SINGLE BILL ON TIME AND IN FULL...WE HAVE EXCELLENT CREDIT TOO. I also mention that when we return we WILL NOT BE HAVING ANY MORE TO DO WITH DIRECT TV AND WE WILL TELL ALL OUR CANADIAN FRIENDS-DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY - THEY RIP OFF THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH EXCESSIVE CHARGES AND NEED TO GO BACK AND DO THEIR HOMEWORK ON TREATING THEIR CUSTOMERS BETTER - BECAUSE WITHOUT THEM, THE COMPANY GOES LIKE MANY OTHERS - DOWN THE TUBES....
