Turbie Twist LLC Compliment - Turbie Twist Hair Towels for Wet Heads

Review by Alain on 2011-12-29
BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA -- I was looking for a towel specifically designed to dry my wife's hair since she doesn't like to constantly blow dry it. Something about it giving her frizzies, but I don't have as much hair so I wouldn't know about that. Fortunately, a helpful Bed, Bath & Beyond sales lady knew what product I was looking for (I made a point of sending them a compliment about her) and directed the dazed and clueless husband to the Turbie Twist (thus adding an actually useful product to her Christmas presents). At about $10 for two Turbies, it was certainly cheaper than jewelry. I was delighted when my wife used it on Christmas Day and it not only worked, but also saved time so that we were on schedule for a visit to her Mom's. It's 80% polyester and 20% polyamide which, for whatever the reason, is a good combination for drying hair. I even tried it myself and found that it dried my hair better than just a standard male towel ruffle. The hood design was comfortable, too. The comments from my wife about my using her towel were a little rough, though. The Turbie Twist is a product that really does work and my wife loves it. http://TurbieTwist.com for additional information.

Thank you so much for the review! I will need to check this out, as I have very long hair and do not use a blow dryer. ^_^

I used to use a similar product to this. I don't remember the brand, but it dried my hair more than a regular towel and I didn't have to spend much time blow drying. Sadly, in all the times I've moved, I lost that towel. I will have to make a trip to BB&B to pick this up. The price is definitely right. Good review Alain!

I had one of these but I don't know whatever happened to it. Yes, they are very nice...I never use a blow dryer on my hair either...I like to drip dry...many times I went to work with frozen hair. Since I can't find my turbie bowel, I have been using a large beach towel because my hair is too long for a regular towel.

I just wish they would make larger Turbie's for longer hair.

What a thoughtful gift! I have always wondered how well the Turbie Twist works. I'm glad it was a hit.

Thanks to everyone for their comments! My wife's hair is medium short, but for long hair (as Cwazy mentioned) I think there'd be room to bunch it up some inside the turban. If the hair was really long, it might get crowded.

As you know, my hair is down to my butt...so I just twist my hair then put the turban on...it works...if I can find where it is again!

Great review. I don't need a Turbie Twist, but I always am enthralled hearing about Basher's Butt.
