McDonalds Complaint - Too sweet, too pricey

Review by mindyhendricks3589 on 2011-12-30
ROCKHILL, SOUTH CAROLINA -- The peppermint coffee was so dissatisfying, for one I ordered a small one and for 2.50??? Come on, thought that it was going to be out of this world for a small cup of coffee, which was so ridiculously sweet couldn't even drink half of it, but come on these people in South Carolina are one of the highest on unemployment rate. I think your restaurant should not just price your food according to them all, which you do in other countries. Why not look around, 2.50 for a small cup of coffee you splash some mint in which you could buy a bottle of it for a dollar and make months worth of coffee and the small amount of cream, come on. Look at your prices here lately

Sadly, you are mistaken. In Mexico, a 20 oz Frappuchino is 58 pesos or about 4.15 cents - Minimum wage for 8 to 12 hours of work is 57 pesos a DAY. You live in America where you obviously have a job and where people who are unemployed still buy coffee at whatever prices. I believe that your complaint is unfounded because you purchased the cup (regardless of the cost) and complained about pricing in an area that really wasn't relevant to your situation. Just my3cents.

I agree with the first reply completely. This coffee would have been horrible at any price, but you were willing to pay what they asked to give it a try.

Based on your description, I believe you would have felt ripped off at half this price. I know I would have.

The moral of the story to me is don't expect to get decent upscale coffee at McD's, which is consistent with my view of McD's.

Helpful review for others tempted to give it a try!
