Gorman's Tree Service Complaint - Christmas Tree - False Advertising

Review by beingwellgal15 on 2012-01-02
ILLINOIS -- On December 20, 2011 my husband and I drove to Monee, Ill to cut down a tree, a tradition, that has been going on for 10 years. We did our homework and checked out the hours of operation as well as their stock
and supply.

When we arrived at 7pm we called 708-534-2375 and a rude woman named Molly
answered the phone with a baby crying in the background, stating, "We have no more trees!" "We are all SOLD OUT!"
I must say that she was totally unprofessional. If they were sold out, the right thing to do would have been to POST IT online.
I would highly recommend that moving into 2012 people that want tree satisfaction look elsewhere.
Not only was she unhelpful, she was completely boastfully rude!

Sounds like a family business and Molly had her hands full. They might have sold out while you were driving there and didn't have a chance to post it online. I hope it wasn't too far away and that you found a tree someplace else in the area.

"boastfully rude"? I've seen comments that meet that description on a competing feedback website - that kind of behavior is uncalled for.

I saw on tv that the Xmas tree business down South was horrible this year because of drout, but I don't think this extended to Illinois. It looked rough, with many trees dead and people going round and round trying to find something.

When you say that you checked out their stock and supply, how did you do that?
