Travelocity Complaint - You'll regret cancelling your flight reservation
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- I booked a flight for my son and I 5 months in advance. I had a hip replacement in the meantime and literally had to cancel my flight the day of the flight at the airport because of pain. My son flew without incident. When I called Travelocity to get a credit, I was hit with the $180 cancellation fee even though I bought the trip insurance. Ok, I'll eat that and use the $398 credit remaining. Fat chance! Travelocity said that I had to book directly with US Air and when I called US Air, I was told that it was a United flight, I called United and they said it was a US Air flight. After calling both once more, I called Travelocity and the customer service red said that he'd straightened it out with US Air and would transfer me to US Air so that I could book my flight. Imagine, I got disconnected. I'll never use Travelocity or any third-party like Expedia again. MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE! After spending over two hours on the phone trying to correct this, it hardly saves time.
