Kohl's Informative - I Love Kohl's
BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN -- My husband and I shopped at Kohl's on several occasions before Christmas, and every time we left the store, I would tell my husband "I love shopping at Kohl's." Like I love flying on Southwest Airlines because they are so service and customer friendly, I think Kohl's fits the same need in the retail business. I always leave your store feeling good about the discounts, return policy, merchandise, and overall service. I give Kohl's an "A+" rating for making my holiday shopping a positive experience. Thanks so much.

I love Kohl's too. I went there yesterday and bought 2 pairs of pants that were 50% off and bought a belt for $3 on clearance. They always have sales. I also like that they call for backup when the lines get 3 people deep. The cashiers actually talk to you, instead of ignoring you like they do at some stores. Good reivew.

I dislike their advertising. I rarely look at their weekly newspaper ad because I don't shop there much but I couldn't help but I saw an ad right around Christmas advertising a Kuerig Platinum Series coffee maker "On sale for $179.99, original price $239". That particular model (which I researched extensively and now own) retails for $179, that is the original price. Then they had Pillow Pets "On sale for $19.99, original price $39.99". Pillow Pets have always been $19.99 retail/original price. I know that other stores use the same deceptive marketing practices but it was blatantly obvious through out the Kohls ad that many of the items on sale were marked up as much as 50% before going "on sale". I'm kind of surprised they would mark up 2 extremely popular items and then try fool people into thinking that they were on sale, when in fact, they were being sold at the original price.

Great review. I received some Kohl's gift cards, and I cannot wait to use them. I love Kohl's and Macy's is another favorite.

I, too, love Kohl's and Macy's. Kohl's is five minutes from the house, so I do most of my shopping there. The store is clean and organized, and the employees are all wonderful. But it's the return policy that really keeps me going back. It can't be beat!

I love Kohls but I have noticed they mark things up and then have it on "sale" for an original price.

I'm not positive how Kohl's system works, but you might be partially right, nowlinjane. The regular prices are ridiculous, which is why no one buys anything at full price and everything is always on sale. I only buy things I think are worth the price I'll be paying after sales and coupons. If JCPenney's new strategy is successful, maybe Kohl's and Macy's will go the same route. It would make things a lot simpler.

Spot on, Samanthasmom. The only really good sales there, are stuff on clearance, if you are lucky.
