Auto-Owners Complaint - This Could Happen 2 You Deceptive Claim Practices / Bad Faith

Review by mullyinminny on 2012-01-08
WILMAR, MINNESOTA -- I was an injured passenger in a truck insured by Auto-Owners insurance. The vehicle I was in was stuck by an at fault van driver that was insured by Progressive insurance. I did not have a vehicle or insurance at the time. Minnesota is a no-fault state and the liability for economic loss (loss wages- medical bills) falls on the vehicle in which I was the passenger.

Auto-Owners refused to pay for my Emergency room services and my ER account went into collections and was eventually wrote off as a bad debt.

Auto-Owners intentionally or irresponsibly ignored the "Minnesota no-fault insurance act" on multiple occasions, knew or irresponsibly accepted pertinent non-factual information from there IME as fact.

Auto-Owners irresponsibly denied wage loss and medical benefits despite two (2) favorable IME evaluations in which "THERE" doctor states there is a "cause relationship" with the auto accident and my injury. Further more, the operating orthopedic surgeon states before and after surgery that there is a "cause relationship" between the accident and my injuries.
