Direct Air Complaint - This airline is scarfy bad.
NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK -- My daughter took Direct Air out of Lakeland in Sept. 2011. Hr flight was delayed 6 hrs due to a mecahnical issue. I know things happen, I've worked in Transportation for many years. So I thought I'd give Direct Air another chance to make it write. I was wrong!! My son's flight was due to depart Niagara Falls NY bound for Lakeland on Jan 12 2012. Flight was due out at 7pm to arrive in Fl. at 945pm. He checked in at 530pm, the agent never said anything about a delay. We were sitting waiting until he went through security and an announcletn came on that the flt was delayed until 930pm. So we went to get dinner then they say seciruty is closing so he has to go and we leave him there. He calles and says now the plane had to tuen back around and to Fl due to a probelm with the navigational system on the plane!!! Now they make an announcement that the flight is delayed until at least 330am because they had to "find" a differetn plane and bring it to Buf. Well the flight finally arrived in Lakeland the NEXT morning at 630am. This is outrageous enough but add to that the lack or nonexistent customer service. They make these announcements from behind closed doors and are no where to be found to answer questions at the gate. Never Again will I give them my money.
