Juniors Automotive Informative - Be Aware

Review by kathleen_clr on 2012-01-14
MASSACHUSETTS -- I took my car to Jr automotive because my check engine light was on. First my car was in the shop for a week before I heard from him. I called several times to find out when my car will be done. He say to give him a couple days. He call me a week later and told me my car is ready. I went to his shop picked my car up and paid him $1300. On my way to work the ligwhqt came kback on. I went back to him and told him that the light came back on He went under my OBD 2 plug and told me I have a new problem. This happens in 2011. Now it is 2012 almost time for a. New sticker which is going to cost me again. Businesses like this should be put out of business.

What repairs were made? There is nothing to indicate that junior did work that wasn't required, was overpriced, or was done improperly, unless I missed something.

I'd definitely avoid junior this time around if you feel you were taken for a ride.

You could go to an auto parts store and buy a code scanner (which works with cars 1996 and later) for under $80. The scanners also include a directory with the codes, listing the problem related to the code, so you can tell your mechanic what's up. Most check engine lights are due to a gas cap not on tight (or not on at all), or bad gasoline. Also, Autozone reads check engine light codes for free.

Take your car to AutoZone - they will do a free OBD code checkup. It'll save you lots of time and money. Hope this helps.
