Walmart Complaint - Rude customer service associate
ALEXANDER CITY, ALABAMA -- In Nov.'11 I bought a color 211 XL cartridge for my canon printer, didn't need the cartridge at the time just wanted a spare as I live about 30 miles from nearest Walmart. About a week ago I opened the package to put it in my printer, the entire plastic container that holds the cartridge had white finger prints(like white chalk or powder). I proceeded to install the cartridge against my better judgment, it would not print. I carried it back to Alexander City, Al Walmart to exchange this am(1/15/12). In customer service "Charlotte" was standing outside the desk, thought maybe this would be nice uneventful exchange, not so Charlotte hadn't vented her authority all day. I didn't have a receipt, she reprimanded me on that, said if I had been longer than 3 months bringing it back she would not have exchanged it, not to hold anything that long. She also said looked as if the cartridge had been wet to her. I tried to explain to her that was how I bought it. I had to go back to electronics, find me a cartridge, ask if I could carry it back to customer service for exchange. Upon getting back to customer service another customer was at Charlotte's register I stood in line and waited, when the customer was through and moved on I took my place in front of Charlotte's register. Charlotte and another associate carried on a conversation about another customer that had aggravated them. Needless to say I finally got to exchange my cartridge, but Charlotte was still very blunt with me. If that is a professional acting employee I truly hope I don't have to continue to do business with Walmart, especially Alexander City, AL.
