Dish Network Complaint - Service Cancellation
PALMDALE, CALIFORNIA -- I canceled my Dish Network service because it was very poor. After the cancellation I was told to hike the roof, remove and return the equipment. Ok... I can do this.. but they charge the customer the shipping fee to return the equipment. Once they receive the equipments your final bill is sent out, guess what? They charge State/Local Tax (Sales) on the box return! What is that???? I immediately contacted Dish Customer Service, Vivian said well I see this on all the final bills!!! Vivian told me to contact the state franchise board of Ca because they are charged this amount. I told you can't charge tax on a return! Then asked to speak to her manager, she said that her manager told her to tell me to speak to the State Franchise Board. After not allowing her to tell me that it was my issue, I demanded to speak to her manager. She ask me to hold and returned saying I'll credit your bill with $2.00 will that help? OMG!!! These people are blatantly stealing from the consumer with the pretext of the State taxes. Beware! Don't allow this to continue.
