Direct TV Complaint - You do not get 3 month free movie channels when moving
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- I moved from Oklahoma to Kansas when I called Direct TV to transfer my service they told me I would get 3 months of movie channels free. My bill usually runs about $80 a month. The first bill I received after moving was 158.39 The bill stated that I was charge a month and half of movie channels. I called them and asked why I was charged and they told me when they first put it in I was charged but would receive a credit on my next bill. I just receive my bill and it is 83.55. I called them again and they said they did credit my bill. I told them the credit on the bill is for the current month for the movie channels and I was not credited for last month. She told me she would credit me $27. I called back and talked to another person and she said she had to make a note of it and it had to be reviewed and to call back in 5 days. I really don't understand how Direct TV can advertise on their commercials that when you move you get 3 months free but you really don't. If I would have known I would have been charged I would have told them I did not want it.
