Tires Plus Compliment - Very Responsive To Identity Theft Credit Card Fraud - Credit Account

Credit Account - Compliment
Review by mikeschell303 on 2012-01-18
My ex wife established nearly $120,000 in fraudulent debt against my name over the couple of years leading up to our divorce. Some of the companies involved have been very gracious and helpful, a few not so much, and a couple more truly unhelpful and entirely unprofessional.

Tires Plus, owned by Firestone, was the very first to immediately recognize this for what it is: fraud. I had to do nothing but point up to them that the account was opened physically in one of their stores, and that the credit application bore a forgery of my signature and they immediately stopped reporting it as my debt and stopped trying to collect from me.

I was very heartened by this and it helped me greatly in dealing with the rest of this fraudulent debt.

Thanks, Tires Plus and Firestone!

That's good to know. One of our commenters here was just saying how they didn't believe compliments held the same validity or weight as the complaints. I find it just the opposite and appreciate seeing it done. Thanks for letting us know Mike. And please keep us posted about the other issues.

Mike wrote 4 reviews today; all about identity theft.

I now realize that. I just left a message about it under his last one.

Identity theft is the worst. I hope you get it all taken care of mike. While i have poor credit, i could not imagine losing 100k in theft! That is just crazy and i hope your ex has to pay it all back.

Btw, is it against the rules to post 4 reviews a day? I find his reviews helpful on which companies are helping with his debt and which are not. Seems they are all about different companies.

I would think so as well Cwazy. These reviews, in the way they are written, are not bad at all. My only concern is that it may not be the best for Mike to post all of this on the net.

That is true, If there is a criminal investigation in this, probably would not be the best idea but still i gotta say its nice that some companies will work with someone in this situation. And its horrible how anyone could do this to someone they once loved.
