Old Chicago Compliment - The Best Caprese! - Caprese Salad

Review by ChuhBaca on 2012-01-24
LAKEWOOD, COLORADO -- We were at Old Chicago in Denver (Wadsworth and Hampden) a couple of months ago and found an unexpected favorite! I wanted something lighter (to offset the order of Italian Nachos), so I decided to give the caprese a try. To my surprise, it was probably the best caprese salad I have ever had!

I have had this dish at different places, have made it, have had it made by friends and family. I would never have expected this dish to be prepared so well at an Old Chicago! It is made with the typical ingredients (tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, balsamic, and olive oil. It really stands out, though, because they add kalamata olives and just the perfect amount of sea salt! Went back last week to feed that craving again. Give it a try! For $3.99, what have you got to lose?

Tasty review! Next time I'm in the Denver area I'm will definitely give 'em a try!--Just looked and they have one in Grand Junction. We go by there pretty frequently so we'll stop for a lunch!
