Sleepys Complaint - Misrepresentation of products and rude uppermanagement
HOLYOKE, MASSACHUSETTS -- I had purchased "cool sheets" from Sleepy's back in 2010 when I purchased my mattress and boxspring. I purchased them from the store In NortHampton, MA. I recently1/10/12 went to the Holyoke store to purchase the EXACT SHEETS which I emphasized several times for a gift for my neice. I was told by the sales assosciate and the manager that they were discontinuing the sheets, however, still had 141 sets available in their 900 stores. The manager told me she had purchased 10 sets herself, but did say I really didn't have a choice in color. Since they had no sheets in the store to see, I REPEATEDLY asked if they were the "COOL" sheets I had purchased before and was assurred they were. I ordered 4 pr. I received my order this week, sent a set to Indiana to my neice and then today washed a set to take with us on vacation. That was when I realized they were clearly NOT the same sheets! I called NortHampton first who confirmed that they were not the same sheets and advised me to call Customer Service at 18007533797. I spoke to very nice man named Larry who stated thatthe sheets I received were "wrinkle free" and the coolest ones they now carry but not the sheets I had previoiusly ordered. He stated they no longer carried the 500 count "cool sheets". He stated that if I opened the sheets they could not be returned. I advised him that that's how I realized they sold me the wrong sheets! He agreed with me and said he would see what he could do...then came the Supervisor with the ATTITUDE!!! Having been a Patient Representative in a Hospital I expected her to be of help. She told me I SHOULD HAVE RECOGNIZED THE PACKAGING.....SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!! She further stated that I could only return the UNOPENED sheets to the HOLYOKE STORE ( live closer to NORTHAMPTON) and that I could not return the ones I sent to Indiana because she did't know HOW THEY WERE SHIPPED!!!!! This woman was not even trying to be helpful!!!! AND as far as Sleepy's goes I may be happy with my mattress but will NEVER SEND ANYONE TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. They admitted they were wrong and then tried to place the blame on me!!! OUT $200+ dollars!!!!
Just found out that there is a note in Speepy's computer stating NOT to take my sheets back as they had been shipped to IN!!!!SLEEPY'S SHIPPED THEM TO ME!!!!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THIS COMPLAINT SHOULD NOT ME MARKED AS RESOLVED
