Bank of America Complaint - Terrible customer service with Bank of America
NEW YORK -- My Mortgage was transferred from Countywide to Bank of America quite a few years ago. I have always paid my payment online and have always paid on time and never been late for 12 years. They did not receive my January online payment for some reason and called me to tell me I was late. I informed them that I had made it online but for some reason it was showing that I still had not paid it. They talked me into paying it by phone which was going to cost me $20 plus a $9 late fee. Well I agreed to it just to make the payment as I thought I had made an error online. The next day I noticed on my online personal bank account they took this payment out 2 times and proceeded to apply one of them to my February payment without asking and it was not even due yet. They would not even admit their mistake and said there was nothing they could do about it. In order to fix it I was going to have to fax them copies of my bank statements? They could not tell they took it out 2 times? I have 3 years left and can't wait to get rid of them.
