Priceline Complaint - Not a good deal and hidden fees!
HERRIMAN, UTAH -- I'm very disappointed with my whole experience with 'Priceline' and will not use them again or recommend them to anyone.
They advertise that that the offer great discounts yet in theory this is NOT TRUE! Our one night stay at the Hilton in Salt Lake city that was charged to me by Priceline at $74 plus $17.53 taxes and fees (total of $91.53) without guarantee of a king bed and the hotel inform we have twin room!! I now know that I could have booked a guaranteed room with a king room with the Hilton direct for a total of $99.54 and taxes only $11.14.
I'm horrified at the little difference to deal direct with the hotel and be guaranteed what we want and I’m appalled that they have the nerve to add fees under the tax and fees heading when the Hilton say the taxes should be the same %, I guess it’s what you call MAKING MORE PROFIT AND MISLEADING CUSTOMERS!!
They then send me a voucher a $50 voucher which gives me $10 extra with bidding per night on a new booking, which is like rubbing salt in a wound!
I called and asked for a refund within 24 hours of booking as Expedia and other companies we have dealt with allow you 24 hours to cancel, but not Priceline probably because too many people realize what a raw deal they get once they look into it! I’m so disappointed and upset that what should be a good experience for our anniversary is not and they are not willing to do anything to help. Shame on Priceline and oh how I wish I had done my homework and check with the Hilton on their prices before booking with Priceline and all the negative reviews online!!!
