Target Complaint - Cracked DVD, would not refund even if store was out of stock for exchange
LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA -- I bought a DVD that was cracked out of the box. Tried to return it the following day with the wrap, seal and receipt. The store had no more of the same DVD so the following day I tried a second store. Same thing, they had no more in stock. The store only exchanges DVD's for the same if the case had been opened. Fair enough. But the product had a 2 inch break and was not usable at all. I went through the entire shelf to find the same DVD as a replacement yet the rude tacky customer representative at the Long Beach store spoke to me like I was trying to put one over her. When I explained that this was the second store I'd been to she just said I could come back everyday to see if their truck delivered any more??? What the heck kind of service is that? I was so disgusted I left the rest of the items I was going to purchase on their counter along with the DVD I was trying to get a proper replacement for. Keep the broken DVD and the money I had paid for it. Lose me as a customer. Forever. I'm there at least once weekly but no more. This is California, there's always someone else around the corner waiting to take my business. I'll pay someone else a few dollars more for my groceries rather than give them a cent. Or deal with the tacky people they hire to provide customer service. Ugh.
