Priceline.com Complaint - Charged Twice For Hotel Reservation
At 8pm I attempted to book a reservation for a hotel room. When I got all the way to the end, after entering my cc info, the browser displayed a message that they could not accommodate my request that I should try a different hotel or try again later. It also said my cc would not be charged. I used the back browser to select a different choice of room. It had kept my cc info and processed the reservation without having me type the information again. That was at 8:05pm. At 8:10pm I received 2 emails confirming 2 reservations. I called immediately to explain the browser error and I had a foreigner read a response without even using logic or being reasonable. He kept saying reservations are non refundable... they are bloody thieves. I ask for a supervisor who was not much better. He said they would investigate and call me back in 3 days. The 3rd day has past and no call for the "pending" charge on my cc is now a full charge. Hopefully Discover will have more common sense and refuse to have thieves rob their customers by dissalowing the duplicate charge. Now I am scared the room I will get will be a nightmare. Never again!
