I-77 and Rockside does have some spectacular views of the nearby valley, but that area also has a lot of highrise office buildings, etc. Probably the best valley view could be had from the second floor of the "McMansion" McDonald's nearby at Brecksville Road and Rockside. I think that Holiday Inn is in the process of remodeling, and some of the rooms may be in the way of the remodeling, and/or are not remodeled yet.

holiday inn is my choice for hotels. getting prime rooms with the best views all depends on your level of rewrds status you are in.

Any hotel that discriminates AGAINST guests simply because a person is not participating in promotional games does not deserve my consideration.

most rooms with a view, is not their typical room. unless one is willing top pay a higher price, they get lesser rooms.

madc, you said it was dependent on your status not price.
Posted by madconsumer on 2012-01-29:
status level and price.

Holiday Inn Express is my choice for hotels throughout the country. Every once in awhile, I like to try another chain to see what they have to offer. But I would say that overall, in regards to price, breakfast buffets, and other amenities, Holiday Inn Express is our family's favorite.

I wish the OP better luck in future visits! Thanks for posting and we hope to see you come back and visit the My3cents site to give your input on other reviews:)

Off topic, but FYI: Holiday Inn has its own, proprietary smell that it pumps into its lobbies. Every HI lobby in the world is supposed to smell the same, and remind you of nothing else but HI (kind of like the smell of Play-Doh).
