Blockbuster Xpress Complaint - Blockbuster Xpress Charge $ 40.00 for a movie I never recive - Rent a Movie

FLORIDA -- Last Friday I rent a movie but I just get an Empty case.
Immediately I contact Customer Service and they told me I must pay 30 days rent( $1.00 each ) plus $10.00, total: $ 40.00

According to them the reason is because if I find the movie my charge stop right there.

How can I fin something I never get?
Why do not charge me just for the movie?
Why Blockbuster do not take any responsibility about it?

Definitely this is completely unfair and they just lost a frequent customer

That is messed up. When my friend did not return a red box movie, they charged her 20 buck for the movie once it was passed a week i believe, plus a dollar per day. 40 bucks seems pretty steep especially since you say you never got it in the first place! I was recently on blockbuster.com, thats a lot better than going to any box. But since I rarely watch dvds, i stopped service.

That is a real hassle. No wonder Blockbuster is disappearing rapidly. I personally have Netflix and stream TV and movies through our Xbox as well as our computer hooked to the TV. Its only $7.99 a month to stream only, and granted the movie selection isn't as broad for instant streaming, so you could have discs sent to you and streaming for $16 a month plus tax! Just a suggestion! :-)
