Orbitz Informative - Orbitz Lets You Fend For Yourself
ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA -- Booked a package to BE LIVE HAMACA in the Dominican through Orbitz. The day before leaving I was to confirm my shuttle directly with the service provider that Orbitz booked me with. I called 5 times throughout the day and could not reach anyone. I then called Orbitz and they tried once and told me to continue on my own since they did not receive an answer. I advised them that they were the travel agency who was making the commission and that this was a vender that they had picked for this service and that I expected them to confirm my reservation. Needless to say, I was left on my own going to a foreign country without knowledge of my transportation. Now upon arrival at BE LIVE HAMACA, after standing in line for an hour I'm advised to step aside and that a manager will talk to me. Well, are you ready for this, in his words (so sorry sir but we do not have a room for you but we have booked a room at the Quality Inn out near the airport in an industrial park for tonight. So much for paying for LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The following day, once checked in things just continued to decline. I had 2 days of no hot water and then 2 separate days of no air conditioning. I was in and out of the managers office with no satisfaction. Now upon my return, Orbitz won't respond to my demands for credit. I will never use them again.
