Kentucky Fried Chicken Complaint - Foreign object in pot pies
SHELBY, OHIO -- During the colder months, some KFC stores offer potpies. The one in Ashland does not and my 91 year old father likes them. So I take him to Shelby most Wednesdays to get one. On one occasion this past season, we were sitting in Pauls parking lot so he could eat and baked inside the pie is a bright blue something. I took it over and discreetly showed it to the manager telling her his age and asking what it might be so I know if I should be alarmed. She picked it out of the pan and rubbed it in her fingers showing that it was a piece of blue plastic wrap. She said she didn't know what it was, but I saw the same thing behind her and pointed out that there it is - I guess a piece of that flew in the pie. She was nonchalant - so ok no harm done, I leave. about a month later I get him a pie and am driving to Mansfield as he is eating. He pulls out one and then another of something he says is like cardboard. I think it is probably just a thin hard piece of chicken. Once I get him homeI wash them off and it is 2 pieces of thin cardboard folded and opens to pieces about an inch long and the other a bit longer. To have this happen twice to the same person seems that it must be a very common occurrence. The manager's attitude just puzzled me. The employees are very nice.
