Clearwire - Don't Expect to Be Able to Cancel Your Plan

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- Upon moving to a non-coverage area, I called their helpline to cancel my month-to-month plan (they don't let you do this online, and make you go through the switchboard gauntlet). After getting through the painful process with the agent, she confirmed she would be cancelling my service the next day and that I would not be billed for another month. 2 days later, I was billed for another month. I called helpline again, this time demanding to speak to a manager, who apologized profusely, acknowledged that I had instructed the service to be cancelled, and assured me that I would receive a credit to my credit card that day. 3 days later, I have not. I have contested the charge with my bank and will attempt to block them from debiting my account any further. Sleazy, infuriating and incompetent service.
