Microwave/Convection Oven - Complaint
ATTLEBORO -- Purchased a Whirlpool micro/convection over the range unit just over one and one half years ago. Shortly after having it installed it stopped working due to a faulty magnetron, capacitor, diode. It was covered under warranty. Several months later the same exact issue happened. At that time I dealt directly with Whirlpool and after a lengthy process they agreed to replace the parts once again and also cover them for one year instead of the standard ninety days. Today the same thing occurred and after speaking with a customer service representative and also her supervisor I was informed they indeed have a record of the previous problems but conveniently they have no record of extending the warranty. I asked once again to speak to a more senior supervisor and was told the management team she reports to has a policy of not speaking to consumers. Bottom line is the same part keeps malfunctioning and if I choose to have it repaired the replacement parts will cost ten dollars more than I payed for the original oven not counting tax and labor. If you choose to purchase a product from Whirlpool I hope you have a better experience but I will never have anything to do with this company again.
