Classic Brands / Dormia - What a relief...

Warranty replacement for a Dormia Mattress. - Compliment

JESSUP, MARYLAND -- We bought a Dormia Mattress about 4 years ago. This was not a cheap mattress and it came with a 25 year warranty. Our mattress developed very deep ruts and no matter what we did, rotated the mattress every 3 months, added a memory foam topper and a very plush and thick mattress pad, my wife and I were unable to get a good nights sleep. I contacted Classic Brands and was informed that Dormia was no longer in business and that Classic Brands were handling the warranty. I received an email the next day explaining the process for submitting a claim. It took a little time and effort but I felt was important to try and fix our mattress problem. I submitted the claim and within 10 days heard back and Classic was willing to replace the damaged mattress for a small processing fee, again compared to what we originally paid for the mattress. I sent in the check and again within 7 days I received our new mattress. The humor came when the package arrived. I went outside to take in our new mattress and I expected the box to be the size of the mattress. I found a box that was approximately 12" X 12" X 5'. I was very disappointed because I thought that there must have been a misunderstanding and Classic had sent me a mattress topper instead of a mattress. When I opened the box the item was wrapped and still looked like a topper. As soon as my wife came home we carried the package up to our bedroom and expected the worst. I unwrapped the package and within seconds it began to puff up and take shape into a full size 10" thick mattress. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. To give you an idea... it took our memory foam topper 36 hours until it was puffed up to full working size. Now our new mattress is excellent and we get a comfortable night sleep without being stuck in our ruts. It was a pleasure working with Classic Brands and their supportive and competent staff. As a final note... the only recommendation I would have is to order the 12" instead of the 10" mattress. Not that we are disappointed in any way, it would just be even better with a slightly thicker mattress.
