MICHIGAN -- I noticed oil spots on my driveway on my new 2011 Ford Diesel truck after an oil change. I looked under the engine and noticed the whole drivers side engine block was covered in oil, the seal around the oil pan, side of the drive shaft, etc. I then went to check the engine oil level and noticed the dipstick was not in tight or maybe too much oil pressure pushed it out. The reason I say this is because when I took the truck into Eddies they asked if it was a diesel, hello can you hear it and see the badge on the side that states turbo diesel!!! Anyways I overheard one worker ask how much oil the 6.7 L diesel takes, and one guy said 16. This sounded to high to me so I called Grand Ledge Ford and talked to a certified mechanic and he stated it takes 13. I told the worker to confirm this amount. So I am still not sure if the engine oil dipstick was blown out because it was too full or not put in tight and blew oil all over my new 2011 engine!!! This is yet to be answered shortly I hope and I will update.
