Whirlpool Just Lost Me as a Customer for Life
Whirlpool Duet Front Load Washer - Complaint
I am very unhappy with my Duet Sport front load washer, and the way they are handling problems that they know about, but won't take any action to help their loyal customers work through without paying through the nose. Today I was told that I had a bad Main Control Board($255.53), but to make sure the problem is corrected, I also needed to replace the Motor Control Board($271.62). Why?, because there is no way to tell which one is the culprit, and replacing the wrong Board would either not fix the problem, or could cause the replacement part to go bad. There is no way to single out the problem through a diagnostic test. So the solution is to replace both boards. At a total cost of $527.15 without tax or shipping, direct from Whirlpool. I wasn't even asking for them to give the parts to me for free. I just asked for them to split the cost with me. The service company that I use quoted me a cheaper price for the parts than Whirlpool did!!! I will never buy a single thing that carries the Whirlpool name again. That includes other brands that are owned by Whirlpool, such as MAYTAG, KITCHEN-AID, JENN-AIR, AMANA, BRASTEMP, CONSUL, GLADIATOR.
