Magicjack - My Magickjack Number Sold

In Aug 2011 I purchased a Magicjack USB adapter for phone service... Yesterday 2/8/12 I attempted to purchase a new number, $10.00.

My acct has my maiden name, my card has my married name, the purchase was rejected.

I spoke with a rep. online and she told me how to change my personal info, once that was done, I attempted two more times to no avail.

I then tried calling my number within a few minutes, my number was sold, did you hear me, they sold my phone number, which I have six more months of service on.

They continue to tell you they will contact you via email, but they never do. I had a similar situation regarding billing, they disconnected me and never contacted me, and it's been a year. Feb 2011 therefore I just purchased another one in August.

You might like Ooma. In my a opinion, much better equipment and company for a similar monthly fee. You only pay local taxes and fees (for me, that's about $4 per month).

To be honest i never saw where magic jack was good.

personally i just use skype and google voice. I call out on google voice, answer the phone on skype and then the other number is dialed.

only thing i pay for is my skype number itself, and of course the internet.
